We did not get the threatened (or promised, if my five year-old is telling it) snow day today. It's clear and sunny, though cold, and the forecast for the next few days promises more sunshine and temperatures in the sixties. After the last few days of rainrainrain (and cold), I felt like a different person today when I awoke to blue skies and sunshine.
Mother Nature is a tease here on the southeastern coast. Just when you are absolutely sure that one more day of dreary cold and rain will drive you to the top of the clock tower, along comes a faint hint of spring to tide you over for a bit longer. Sixty will feel much warmer coming after the days we've been having, and I fully expect to see people in shorts and Rainbows out walking around the lake this weekend.
I'll be one of them, too.
