- This Thursday finds things (and me) a little more serene.
- Okay, not really. But I'm not a big ball of rage anymore. The world does continue to insist on pissing me off, though.
- First it was E, right on the heels of her Vegas Thirteen, announcing her decision to to shut down her blog. In addition to E being a fellow Panthers fan, I'm not sure that we aren't long-lost sisters. I'll miss my daily stops at her place a lot.
- Then Amy broke my heart. I understand, but I'm bereft nonetheless.
- This has not been a week without good news, however! The fabulous Jennifer of Open Book has graciously bowed to the pressure of her adoring fans and opened a place to talk about food and to share her recipes. Stop by Satiety and say hello.
- BCBSNC came through for Liam; we're out from COBRA's strangling embrace as of 1 December. He didn't get the preferred rate, but the next one down, which is probably as good as we can hope for for a child with a chronic disease.
- Speaking of diseases, Liam has strep throat, albeit a a very very mild case. He only suffered for 3 days and thankfully was able to go back to school today. Yesterday was tough; he was feeling much too good to be at home, but doctor's orders demanded it.
- He was very bummed about missing the first graders' field trip to Ashton Farms. He went once in preschool and had a blast. Here he is back then with his favorite farm animal.
- He wrote in his journal "I have strep throt, but I had Chik-fil-A." It's true; he did (and so did I)!
- Need I mention that yesterday was a no-work day for me? I tried; it just wasn't happening with the Boy Wonder back to his wild self. Now I'm even more behind, but I did enjoy our day together; it's been awhile since the two of us just hung out.
- My gym time has been nonexistent for the two weeks of deadline hell I've been living. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I miss it to the point where I'm actually considering going to the 5:45 AM classes. I may have mentioned that I'm not a morning person. Add that to not being a gym person either and you will realize that that would be very.strange.behavior.
- Today after school my mama's husband is picking Liam up and taking him to their house for 2 days. Unfortunately I have too much work to actually take the time off and enjoy my solitude. But hey, not having to get up at 6:00 is a good thing!
- I continue to wrestle with the question of moving. This week it's crept back to about 75/25 in favor of doing it. Actually, if I could just up and do it tomorrow, I would, which makes it more like roughly 98/2, doesn't it? But of course that's in a different world, where no one's thoughts and feelings count except mine.
Thursday Thirteen is Leanne's baby, so be sure to visit her and check out her links to other Thirteeners. I'll add links here as well as time permits.
You're not thinking of shutting down too? Hope not. I'm adding you to my blogroll for safe keeping :)

I was sad about Amy's leaving, too, but it's her second time departing...maybe she'll be back again! I'm hoping...
Satiety looks interesting, I adore cooking and finding new recipes, thanks!

I know you have a lot to catch up on and work to do, but maybe you can take a little time to yourself, since Liam will be gone for 2 days. Try to anyway. I hope you have a great day!
My 13 is up!

Excellent news for Liam! I do the morning workouts too, and I am NOT a morning person. It's not so bad.
Here's my 13 today!

Hi Terrilynn! I hope Liam is feeling better today?! I'm just getting to reading all of the 13's this week.
E's leaving has me confused too. She's such a sweetheart, but I think she feels the same attachment to us, she won't be gone too long. (I hope!)
Moving is such a rough decision. I hope that you can all find common ground to make that final choice.
Hugs to you guys - have a good weekend!

Thanks for the sweet thoughts and...yes, I do believe we may be long lost sisters! I know I'll be back - just need to get through the holidays and settle my real life a bit. Leanne is right - I am totally attached to my blog friends and I would miss you all if I didn't keep coming by to visit. I may not be poking my head in quite as often, but I assure you I'll be coming by to say "hi"! Hope Liam is back up to speed! Feel free to email or IM - yahoo IM name is emfiori and email is emfiori@gmail.com
Take care and keep cheering on those Panthers! :)

I know how frustrating it can be when some of the friends we have made here in the blog world decide to take a leave of absence. I can totally understand the thoughts behind it. But, my blogging replaced my paper journaling, and i would have to think long and hard about giving it totally.
Oh -- by the way -- Hi. I'm Carolyn. Just following some Thursday Thirteen links. (I know, I know -- a day later, and a dollar short, right?) Enjoyed reading your list. This is such a great twist on the "run of the mill" memes.
Have a great weekend.

Hey, saying I broke your heart breaks my heart!! I'll be dropping by for visits on your blog, you're not rid of me yet. Maybe I'll get a new blog body one day. Meanwhile, time for a change and fresh look at the world, my writing, etc. See ya! :)

In response to #13, I was wondering if you were still pondering this decsion. Wouldn't it be nice if things were nice and clean cut sometimes.
