1. I'm nearly too late to do this today!
2. This has been the most frustrating week I've had in many a moon.
3. The fact that I've managed to make it through this week without landing in jail is a miracle akin to that of the loaves and fishes.
4. This country's health-care system is a travesty bordering on the criminal.

6. Liam got his cast off today!
7. I am blessed with the most wonderful girlfriends on the planet.
8. They are the only thing standing between the rest of the world seeing me on the 6:00 news up in the clock tower with an AK-47 and a six-pack of Sundrop.
9. It's amazing what a day of fall weather can do for my disposition.
10. We are supposed to go to the State Fair tomorrow, but I think Liam has decided he doesn't want to go.
11. I love the fair, but it would suit me fine if we don't make the trip.
12. Except for missing the barbecue, prepared and served by the lovely folks along Church Row (we usually eat with the Methodists), and the world's best ice cream from the NC State dairy booth.
13. I used to go to Happy Hour on Friday and I'm thinking this would be a fine week to revive that tradition.
